‘Visions. I. II.’ is a macro photography series that reveals the hidden architecture within clear quartz crystals. At their core lie ‘phantoms’ these ghostlike formations are trapped growth stages suspended for thousands of years, as the crystal pauses and reforms layer by layer. These natural imprints become stillness, transformation, and memory codes.

Inspired by the principles of Vedic astrology with connections to the planetary influence of Venus associated with beauty, refinement, and love. In Vedic gem therapy, clear quartz is known to amplify energy and harmonise inner worlds. This collection reflects both the crystal’s raw purity and its more mysterious, internal landscapes, two parallel series that explore clarity and the unseen.

This series peers into its core interiors, and visits the ‘Phantoms’ themselves, an elusive, translucent state of ethereal beauty inviting stillness and contemplation of deep time in the dark. The two series combined, reveal the power of nature and the unseen forces shaping all things.
